Zeiss Camera, Large Battery, And Other Features Of The Vivo V40 And V40 Pro Launched In India
In India, Vivo has finally made the V40 and V40 Pro smartphone announcements. The two new models, which come with some amazing features and specs, are the first in the brand’s V series to include Zeiss lenses for the cameras.
The Vivo V40 Pro
The top model in the new lineup is the Vivo V40 Pro. It has a large 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz, FHD+ resolution, HDR10+, and a peak brightness of 4500 nits. Its MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ SoC, combined with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage, powers the device. This device runs on a huge 5,500mAh battery pack and enables 80W wired fast charging.
This smartphone comes pre-installed with the Funtouch OS custom skin, which is based on the Android 14 OS. Zeiss lenses are included in the Vivo V40 Pro’s optics for the 50-megapixel Sony IMX921 primary sensor. It also has a 50-megapixel Sony IMX816 telephoto lens with a 2x optical zoom and an ultra wide angle lens. There is also a clever Aura Light on the back. A 50-megapixel camera on the front is used for video calls and selfies. Notable features also include an ultra-slim 7.58mm body, an IP68 water and dust resistant rating, and a display fingerprint scanner.
The Vivo V40
The cheapest model from Vivo, the V40, also has a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 20:9 aspect ratio, 120Hz refresh rate, 1.5K resolution, and a maximum brightness of 4,500 nits. The new phone is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 CPU, which has 512GB of internal storage and up to 12GB of RAM. This device is powered by a sizable 5,500mAh battery pack that supports 80W wired rapid charging.
It also comes pre-installed with the Funtouch OS custom skin, which is based on the Android 14 OS. Users receive a 50-megapixel ultra wide angle lens and a 50-megapixel primary sensor with Zeiss lens and OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) on the back. The front has a 50-megapixel camera for taking selfies and making video calls. The device also has an in-display fingerprint scanner, Bluetooth 5.4, an IP68 rating against water and dust, and a thin 7.58mm shell.
Cost and Accessibility
The Vivo V40 was introduced by the Chinese business in three color variants: Titanium Gray, Lotus Purple, and Ganges Blue. In contrast, the more costly V40 Pro is available in just two hues: Ganges Blue and Titanium Gray. The prices for the two gadgets are as follows:

The Vivo V40 series’ pre-booking opened earlier today, on August 7, 2024. While the first sale of the V40 will begin on August 19, 2024, the Vivo V40 Pro will go on sale on August 13, 2024.
