Xiaomi Unveiled the POCO C61, Showcasing a New Low-Cost Android
The gaming-focused brand of Xiaomi has launched the POCO C61, showcasing a huge camera, eye-catching design, and competitive pricing—at least in India. Although the specifications might not surprise high-end consumers, the phone is presently available for less than $85 in India for ₹6,999.
Naturally, the POCO C61’s pricing will go up in other areas if it does receive a worldwide release—which is still pending. Nevertheless, it’s a good deal for the money with reasonable specs (per GSMArena) like a Mediatek Helio G36 CPU, up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, and a 6.7-inch LCD with a fingerprint sensor and 90Hz refresh rate.
The Poco C61 from Xiaomi is set to launch in India on March 28th, according to the announcement. The phone’s design is among its most noticeable features. It looks quite elegant with its squared-off corners and flat matte-style rear. The phone’s large circular camera bump, which is located in the center of the back, houses both an odd 0.08 MP auxiliary camera and an 8 MP primary camera.
Without real-world testing, it is impossible to determine how performant it is, but since its design differs from POCO’s, consumers may experience something different. The POCO C61 is currently available for purchase in India for the previously mentioned low price. The price returns to ₹8,999 (~$110) once the offer expires.
FlipKart is offering ₹6,999.
