Worldwide Revenue from “The Goat Life,” Starring Prithviraj Sukumaran, Surpasses ₹100 Crore
New Delhi With Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead role, the survival drama “The Goat Life” has brought in over ₹100 crore worldwide, the producers revealed on Saturday.
Blessy, the director, based the film on Benyamin’s 2008 best-selling novel “Aadujeevitham”. The 29th of March saw its theatrical debut.
“Achieving a great milestone, ‘The Goat Life’ has crossed the ₹100 crore mark at the worldwide box office within nine days of its release,” according to a press release issued by the producers.
The actual narrative of Najeeb, a Malayali immigrant laborer who is forced into slavery as a goatherd on a remote Saudi Arabian farm, is depicted in the Malayalam movie.
According to Blessy, the crew behind the movie is thrilled and appreciative of the reception it has received, and they now wish for it to keep traveling across boundaries and influencing as many people as it can.
“More than ten years of blood, sweat, and tears have been shed by the entire film crew to realize this ambition. The movie has been with me for more than sixteen years, so it’s a blessing that it’s finally out and getting such positive reviews from viewers all over the world,” he continued.
In an Instagram post, Sukumaran, who is the distributor of “The Goat Life” in Malayalam through Prithviraj Productions, also commemorated the film’s landmark achievement.
Produced by Visual Romance, “The Goat Life” also stars Hollywood actor Jimmy Jean-Louis, Arab actors Talib al Balushi and RikAby, and Amala Paul and K.R. Gokul in important parts.
