Warriors’ alert runs off with DeMarcus Cousins injury scare
Beginning Warriors center DeMarcus Cousins harmed his left quadriceps muscle in the first quarter of Monday night’s Game 2 misfortune to the Clippers in the first round of the playoffs. The Warriors are frightful he could have a torn left quad, as per ESPN.
Golden State said Cousins wouldn’t return and was planned to experience a MRI test in the next 24 hours after he got injured in simply his second career playoff diversion following a nine-year pause. The big man returned in January from an almost year-long nonattendance following surgery for a torn left Achilles ligament.
He stumbled to the locker room at the 8:09 mark of the first quarter. At the 8 1/2-minute mark Cousins stole the ball from Patrick Beverley in the back court and endeavored to recover the free ball when went down before the Golden State bench and got at his left quad.
Cousins fouled out of Saturday’s 121-104 Game 1 win with nine points, nine rebounds and four assists in 21 minutes.
