Undo Button is Finally Included in Gboard Beta to Make Text Corrections Simpler

Google’s Gboard keyboard’s most recent beta version will soon have an undo button, making it possible for users to quickly fix errors. After being developed for more than a year, this new feature is now accessible to beta testers.

The well-known virtual keyboard app Gboard, created by Google for iOS and Android smartphones, has grown to be a necessary tool for many smartphone users. Gboard has made typing on touchscreens quicker and easier with features including voice typing, glide typing, and predictive text. Additionally, the program provides a plethora of customization options that let users customize their typing experience.

An undo button has been one of Gboard’s most desired additions. Gboard users had to rely on the backspace key or third-party programs to fix errors, even though other keyboard apps had this feature for a while. Nevertheless, it appears that Google has at last paid attention to its users.

The most recent beta version of Gboard for Android now has the undo button. Users must update to version 14.9.06.x and be enrolled in the Gboard beta program in order to access it. They can use the drag-to-customize screen to add the undo button to the keyboard’s toolbar after it has been changed.

Users may quickly undo any modifications they’ve made to their text by using the undo button. The recent action can be undone by tapping the button; more touches will undo earlier acts. This can be very helpful for fixing errors, erasing lengthy passages of text, and recovering words that were inadvertently erased.

Although Gboard’s undo button is a wonderful feature, it’s important to remember that it’s currently in development and might have certain restrictions. For example, when the user closes the application they were using to type, the undo history appears to be erased. However, it’s a promising feature that many Gboard users will probably find useful.
