On Monday night, millions of social media users were unable to access Twitter due to a site meltdown.
The majority of users who tried to access Twitter on a PC rather than through the mobile app experienced problems starting around 11 p.m.

It follows the social media website’s outage last month, which prevented more than 22,000 people from accessing the site.
Others hypothesised that the Elon Musk controversy might be connected to the outage.
“I wonder if they are updating the website to get rid of bots etc or maybe Elon Musk broke it,” they wrote.

Twitter is suing Elon Musk for violating the £36.5billion deal to buy the social media platform.
