In addition, the producers of Thangalaan inked a contract with Netflix India for the film’s digital streaming rights in five languages, starring Vikram-Pa Ranjith, prior to its release. The massive over-the-top provider paid a hefty sum to obtain the rights.

Thangalaan Synopsis

A tribal leader in British Raj-ruled India is named Thangalaan (Vikram). After the British plan to pillage his farm for gold mining, he fights back bravely against both the system and the British.

Vikram’s Thangalaan was produced by K.E. Gnanvel Raja, Pa. Ranjith, and Jyoti Deshpande under the labels of Studio Green, Neelam Productions, and Jio Studios on a budget of roughly Rs 150 Crore. The whole soundtrack and sound design of the movie was composed by G.V Prakash Kumar. A. Kishor Kumar was the cinematographer, and Selva R.K. served as the editor.
