The song was canceled at the Los Angeles show due to vocal issues
The Weeknd abruptly ended his concert in Los Angeles on Saturday night, citing vocal issues.
He was in the middle of performing his hit “Can’t Feel My Face” when he walked off the stage, the Los Angeles Times reported. The second song started shortly after, then the lights went up at Sophie Stadium in Inglewood.
The Weeknd later returned to the stage to apologize for his vocal problems and promised to repay the audience, according to a video shared by a concertgoer on Twitter.
“I lost my voice during the first song and I was devastated,” he wrote. “It felt like it was gone and my heart stopped. My deepest apologies to my fans here. I promise I’ll get back to you with a new date.”
The next date scheduled for the “After Hours Till Dawn” tour is September 22nd in Toronto. The tour has been postponed twice before due to the pandemic.
