Tata Nexon EV Upgraded with a Larger Battery, Extended Range, and a Panoramic Sunroof

Recent improvements to the electric drivetrain and feature list of the Tata Nexon EV include the addition of a panoramic sunroof. Additionally, a new Red Dark version is now available. the most recent Nexon EV 45 Long Range variation pricing, broken down by variant:

A new Red Dark edition of the Nexon EV Long Range (LR), priced at Rs 17.19 lakh and based on the fully loaded Empowered Plus variant, is also available. Additionally, because it is now available in the cheaper Creative trim, the Nexon EV Long Range’s beginning price is now Rs 60,000 less.

Updates on Electric Powertrains

With a stated range of 489 kilometers, the Tata Nexon EV LR now sports a larger 45 kWh battery pack that is identical in size to the one found on the Curvv EV. It continues to use the same 145 PS/215 Nm electric motor. Based on projected real-world usage, the stated C75 range is between 350 and 370 kilometers. Nevertheless, Tata will still sell the current battery packs for the Nexon EV, which are a 30 kWh unit with a 325 km range and a 40.5 kWh unit with a 465 km range.

With a 60 kW fast charger, the Nexon EV’s new battery pack can be charged from 10 to 80 percent capacity in under 40 minutes.

Any Feature Changes?

The addition of a panoramic sunroof is one of the Nexon EV’s largest upgrades. The front trunk, or frunk, is the only extra feature. A wireless phone charger, 10.25-inch digital driver display, ventilated front seats, and a 12.3-inch touchscreen are some of the other notable features. Six airbags (as standard), an automated parking brake, a 360-degree camera, and front and rear parking sensors are all part of its safety package.

Nexon EV Red Dark Edition Introduced

A Red Dark variant of the SUV was also released along with the Nexon EV’s improvements. It has the same Carbon Black paint option as the standard model, but it also has blacked-out grille, alloy wheels, roof rails, and ORVMs. Additionally, a red finish is applied to the “#Dark” insignia on the front fenders.

To complement its distinctive style, the cabin’s interior has a black and red color scheme. Tata has also added a black tint to the touchscreen’s user interface, and the “Dark” emblem is displayed on the headrests of the front seats.
