Storm Chaser G-Shock Metal Watch from Casio is Now Available in the US

With the official release of the MTG-B2000YST1 in the United States, Casio has expanded its collection of robust and fashionable G-Shock timepieces. A rainbow ion-plated bezel that changes color to evoke a stormy atmosphere gives this new model, which is a member of the MT-G series, a unique Storm Chaser look.

The bezel is composed of layered carbon and glass fiber and features a pattern that resembles lightning streaks. It blends silver and blue IP finishes. A coating of phosphorescent material simulates lightning flashes by glowing in the dark. The band of resin, which has a variety of dark hues, is intended to mimic the hues of stormy weather and supercell clouds.

With its multi-layered carbon frame and scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating, the MTG-B2000YST1 is made to last. It is appropriate for a variety of activities because it is water-resistant up to 200 meters. The watch weighs 104 grams, which is modest considering its robust construction.

Because it runs on solar power, the watch doesn’t require frequent battery changes. It can sync with the CASIO WATCHES app via Bluetooth to enable functions like world time display and automated time adjustment. In addition, it has a battery level indicator, a 24-hour stopwatch, and a countdown timer.

Cost and accessibility

In the United States, the watch costs $1,450. It cost £1,299 (about $1,670) when it was first introduced in the UK.
