Samsung’s expected 2022 flagship foldable – Galaxy Z Fold 4 – may have been leaked in unofficial renders recently published by SmartPrix, based on information from the most reliable Onleaks. The renders of the Galaxy Z Fold 4 show the same overall design as its predecessor the Z Fold 3, with a 6.2-inch cover display and a 7.6-inch folding inner display, but redesigned with this year’s Galaxy-inspired rear camera configuration. S22 Ultra.
This internal display will once again have an under-display selfie camera, a feature that disappointed us on last year’s device. This year’s edition has reportedly seen performance improvements, which are desperately needed. There are three rear cameras the same as last year, but SmartPrix doesn’t give any details about what their glasses might be.
There’s no sign of a built-in slot for the S-Pen Stylus, which The Elek previously said would come in this year’s foldable. Z Fold 3 offered S-Pen support, but there was no built-in slot for storing it – instead customers had to buy a phone case to hold it. Elec’s report also claims that the screen dimensions of the Z Fold 4 will be slightly different than last year, with an inner screen one inch larger and an external display one inch smaller.
There is no official word on when we will see the announcement of Z Fold 4, but according to a report from SmartPrix we may see the announcement in August or September. For reference, last year’s Z Fold 3 was launched in early August.
