What sets the Samsung Galaxy A16 5G apart?
The newest low-cost phone from the South Korean tech giant has a big 6.7-inch AMOLED display with 800 nits of peak brightness, a refresh rate of 90 Hz, and compatibility for FHD+ resolution. The MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC, together with up to 256GB of internal storage and 8GB of RAM, powers this device. Even more, users can use a microSD card slot to increase storage by up to 1.5Tb. This device runs on a huge 5,000mAh battery pack and enables 25W wired fast charging.
One UI 6.0, a custom skin based on the Android 14 OS, is the default operating system for the Galaxy A16 5G. This is the first mid-range phone from the company to receive both six years of security upgrades and six major OS updates. Customers can therefore expect updates till October 31, 2030. In terms of optics, the front features a 13MP selfie camera, while the back boasts three cameras: a 50MP primary, a 5MP ultrawide, and a 2MP macro. A side-mounted fingerprint scanner, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC support, an IP54 water and dust resistant rating, hybrid dual SIM capability, and an IP54 rating are among the device’s other noteworthy features.
Cost and Availability
In India, Samsung has made the Galaxy A16 5G available in three different color variants: Blue Black, Light Green, and Gold. Its starting price is 18,999 INR for the 8GB + 128GB model and 21,999 INR for the 8GB + 256GB version. As of right now, the smartphone may be bought on the official Samsung website as well as on Amazon, Flipkart, and other websites.
