Rolls-Royce Motor Cars has brought the latest version of their well-liked luxury sedan to India with the new Ghost facelift. The Standard version of the new Rolls-Royce Ghost Series II starts at 28.95 crore, while the Extended version costs 10.19 crore and the top-spec Black Badge costs 10.52 crore. Every price is ex-showroom. With deliveries scheduled to start next year, the British automaker has started taking reservations for the new product.

What Makes the Rolls-Royce Ghost Series II Unique?

Only a few months after the Cullinan Series II was introduced to the Indian market, the Ghost Series II is here. Earlier this year, the model was introduced all over the world. It comes with new alloy wheels, a thinner grille on the front bumper, and LED DRLs wrapped around the main projector headlamps. With the taillights extending to either side of the car, the rear has a new look.

Duality Twill and Grey Stained Ash are among the new materials used in the cabin. According to the company, the new Duality Twill inside, which has 17.7 kilometers of thread work and 2.2 million stitches, takes 20 hours to complete. Customers of Rolls-Royce have a wide range of customization options, which makes each example rollout distinct from the others.

A large glass panel that spans the dashboard’s width is another highlight of the Rolls-Royce Ghost Series II. The digital instrument console has also been modified by the automaker and can now match the outside color of the vehicle. The in-car connectivity technology, which enables backseat passengers to connect two streaming devices to their individual screens, has also improved the user interface. Wireless headphones can also be connected to the back infotainment system. The 1300-watt system used on the original Ghost Series II has been replaced by a 1400-watt premium sound system.

Powertrain of the Rolls-Royce Ghost Series II

The well-known 6.75-liter twin-turbo V12 engine powers the Rolls-Royce Ghost Series II. The Standard and Extended versions of the motor produce 555 horsepower and 850 Nm of torque, while the Black Badge model produces 584 horsepower and 900 Nm of peak torque. All four wheels are powered by the 8-speed automatic transmission that comes with both models.

With less pedal travel and a higher braking point, Rolls-Royce has further enhanced the brakes on the Ghost Black Badge. Additionally, there is a new ‘Low’ drive mode that speeds up gear shifts by 50% while the throttle is 90% open.
