The release date for A Big Bold Beautiful Journey has been disclosed. Billed as the “next female event movie,” Margot Robbie and Colin Farrell appear in the upcoming romantic fantasy film.
Pachinko and After Yang director Kogonada are the film’s directors and executive producers. It is described as “an imaginative tale of two strangers and the emotional journey that connects them.” Based on a screenplay by Seth Reiss, he directed the film (The Menu).
When is the A Big Bold Beautiful Journey release date?
On May 9, 2025, the upcoming film will debut on the big screen, just in time for Mother’s Day weekend the following year.
A Big Bold Beautiful Journey will also star people like Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Fleabag), Lily Rabe (Tell Me Your Secrets), Jodie Turner-Smith (Anne Boleyn), Hamish Linklater (Midnight Mass), Billy Magnussen (Game Night), Sarah Gadon (Dracula Untold), Brandon Perea (Nope), Yuvi Hecht (Pretty Freekin Scary), and newcomer Lucy Thomas, in addition to Robbie and Farrell.
Producers Dan Friedkin, Bradley Thomas, Ryan Friedkin, Youree Henly, and Reiss are behind A Big Bold Beautiful Journey. Two more executive producers are Ori Eisen and Ilene Feldman.
After 2023’s big office success Barbie, Robbie’s next film endeavor is the star-studded picture. The Wolf of Wall Street, The Legend of Tarzan, Suicide Squad, I, Tonya, Bombshell, Birds of Prey, Babylon, and other films are the actress’s most well-known roles.
After starring in After Yang, Farrell returns to work with Kogonada. He most recently acted in The Batman, The Banshees of Inisherin, and Thirteen Lives. He will play Oswald “Oz” Cobblepot again in the new crime thriller series The Penguin, which is helmed by Matt Reeves.
A Big Bold Beautiful Journey’s trailer has not yet been released. In theaters on May 9, 2025, the movie opens.
