Redesigned 2024 Galaxy Tab S6 Lite: 4GB RAM, On Sale This Week

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite is getting a 2024 update, which is scheduled to go on sale later this week, four years after it made its debut.

The Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2024), which was formally unveiled through Samsung’s Newsroom, is a slight update of the Tab S6 Lite, which made its debut in 2020. The tablet’s physical components are identical to those from its initial introduction.

Along with an aluminum shell, support for the S Pen, a 7,040 mAh battery, up to 128GB of storage, and a microSD card slot, this 10.4-inch TFT LCD display comes with other features. Additionally, it includes two cameras in total: a 5MP front-facing camera and an 8MP rear camera.

The main distinction this time is the chipset, which corresponds to the previously stated Exynos 1280 and is described by Samsung as a “Quad core 2.4GHz + Quad core 2.0GHz” chipset. The Tab S6 Lite 2022 refresh—yes, this is the tablet’s second refresh—was powered by Snapdragon 700-series CPUs.

Along with the existing Oxford Gray and Chiffon Pink colorways, this new model also comes in an LTE and Wi-Fi only option. The new colorway is called “Mint.”

The largest anomaly on this tablet in 2024, though, is that it only has 4GB of RAM. This is especially strange considering that the price will probably be the same as the 2022 update, which costs an astounding $429. Regional availability and pricing have not yet been disclosed by Samsung. The tablet has already surfaced in Europe and is likely headed to Korea, though it is unclear if it will make it to the US.
