The new-generation Cooper S and Countryman E SUV are now available for pre-booking on MINI India’s website. In September of last year, the latest generation of MINI Cooper 3-door and Countryman Electric made their world premieres. In its fourth generation, the three-door hot hatch receives an evolutionary design update that gives it a recognizable appearance while adding a ton of new lines and technologies. While expanding in size, the new Countryman Electric has undergone a similar makeover.
2025 MINI Cooper S: New Design
Redesigned grille and circular LED headlights with three interchangeable LED DRL signatures are features of the new MIN Cooper S. With smoother surfaces throughout, the overall lines are cleaner than they were previously. The Cooper S has the same silhouette, but the Union Jack-themed taillights on the back have been upgraded.
The enormous round 9.4-inch infotainment display in the center console, which holds the MINI Operating System 9 and most of the car’s controls, is the focal point of the cabin’s minimalist design. A head-up display has been positioned in front of the steering wheel, and the unit also functions as the instrument console. Some of the recognizable components, such as the gear selector, parking brake, start-stop switch, and toggle switches for the experience modes, have been kept by MINI. Ambient lighting allows the cabin to be lit in various colors.
2025 MINI Cooper S: Features and Details
The 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine, rated for 201 horsepower and 300 Nm of peak torque, will power the MINI Cooper S. The new model has a power increase of 20 Nm and 25 horsepower above its predecessor. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.6 seconds, which is 0.1 seconds quicker than the previous model. A 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission transfers power to the front wheels. The next generation electrified Cooper SE, which might go on sale later, has also been unveiled by the company.
MINI Countryman E (2025): Details
Conversely, the next generation MINI Countryman will be available in an electric version. The design of the electric SUV has been updated. Along with new materials and a circular OLED display, the interior of the cabin has also been updated. A 250 Nm peak torque and 201 horsepower electric motor will power the MINI Countryman E. The Countryman E takes 8.6 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h. Globally, MINI also sells the more potent Countryman SE ALL4, which has 494 Nm of power. The SE ALL4 has a range of 433 km (WLTP) on a single charge, compared to the company’s claimed 462 km for the Countryman E.
Level 2 ADAS, MINI Connected tech, Digital Key Plus, a fisheye in-car camera, an electrically adjustable driver’s seat with a massage function, and more features are all included in the new MINI Countryman E.
Later this year, both MINI vehicles are anticipated to arrive and are probably Completely Built Units (CBU). Prices are likely to increase compared to the existing models. The MINI Cooper has endured over the years, and new generations continue to find it appealing. A new competitor for the BMW iX1, Volvo XC40 Recharge, and soon-to-come Mercedes-Benz GLA in the entry-level electric luxury SUV market will be the Countryman E.
