POCO C61 Airtel Locked Variant, Which Costs Rs 5,999, Unveiled With A 50GB Free Date

Exclusively for Airtel customers in India, POCO is now selling a new version of its entry-level smartphone, the POCO C61 (4GB RAM + 64GB storage). There’s a caveat to this phone—it’s bound to the Airtel network for 18 months—when it launches on July 17th for Rs 5,999 on Flipkart.

After eighteen months, consumers must unlock their phone by recharging with any Airtel Truly Unlimited prepaid plan that costs more than Rs 199 while the phone is locked in. 50GB of free data is an incentive for buyers.

POCO C61 specifications:

The 6.71-inch screen of the POCO C61 is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and has a dewdrop notch. The LCD display features 500 nits of peak brightness, a refresh rate of 90 Hz, and a resolution of 1650 x 720 pixels.

It has an eMMC 5.1 storage system, LPDDR4x RAM, and a MediaTek Helio G36 SoC. Running Android 14, the phone boasts a 5,000mAh battery that can be charged to 10W using USB Type-C.

An 8MP primary sensor and a 0.08MP secondary sensor make up the dual rear camera arrangement. There is a 5MP sensor on the front lens.

An inbuilt fingerprint sensor on the side is one of the security measures. It also features a 3.5mm headphone jack and a separate MicroSD card slot. Dual SIM, 4G, WiFi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, and GNSS are available connectivity options.
