New Stop will be Added by Brightline en route to South Florida
To make it easier for commuters to get from South Florida to Central Florida, Brightline is building a new train stop.
On Monday, the City of Stuart in Martin County announced the addition.
The area was selected following consideration of five offers from both public and private landowners along the Brightline/Florida East Coast Railway corridor in Martin and St. Lucie counties, according to the railway company.
The process of memorializing a contract structure with Martin County and the City of Stuart begins with the announcement of the station site. Brightline and its partners will begin the design and engineering of the station, parking structure, and required rail infrastructure upon receiving permissions from the City and County.
Situated on 2.35 acres in the center of Stuart’s historic downtown, the proposed Brightline Stuart station is part of Martin County.
The station will be situated in the middle of the Orlando and Miami stations. The station is conveniently located off of Florida’s Turnpike, I-95, and is about 40 miles north of Brightline West Palm Beach. A 40-minute train ride will get you there.
In September 2023, the high-speed rail business celebrated the opening of its Miami to Orlando route.
Travel to Orlando from Miami, Aventura, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, and West Palm Beach is made easier by this route.
Brightline conducted extensive springtime drills in Orange County with its high-speed trains in order to get them ready for the route.
The trains’ top speed of 130 miles per hour was just a little bit quicker than they will be when carrying people.
Smart service tickets start at $79, while premium seating tickets start at $149. Tickets for children are $39.
