US astronauts Butch Wilmore and Sunita Williams were due back on the ISS Wednesday, but NASA and SpaceX delayed the launch of a replacement crew of four astronauts to the International Space Station (ISS).
The goal of the Crew-10 mission, which was scheduled to take out from Florida on a SpaceX rocket, was to replace the present crew on the ISS and make it easier for Wilmore and Williams to return to orbit after their nine-month stay on Boeing’s malfunctioning Starliner spaceship.
NASA said the launch was canceled because of a hydraulic system problem with the ground support clamp arm of the Falcon 9 rocket.
What is the Duration of Sunita Williams’ Space Flight?
Sunita Williams has been aboard the ISS for more than eight months. She traveled to space with Butch Wilmore for eight days.
What Time will Sunita Williams be Back on Earth?
After delaying Wednesday’s attempt owing to the high winds and rain expected along Dragon’s flight path, NASA has now issued a revised launch goal for no earlier than 7.03 pm EDT (2303 GMT) on Friday (4.33 am IST on Saturday).
According to NASA, the Crew-9 mission, which is carrying astronauts Wilmore and Williams, is scheduled to leave the International Space Station (ISS) on Wednesday, March 19, if the Crew-10 mission launches on Friday.
