It is somewhat different from the Dacia Duster and has a unique radiator grille with large Renault letters in place of the rhombus emblem. With a length of 4.3 meters, it provides 209 mm of ground clearance for FWD models and 217 mm for AWD variants.
Powertrain Options for the Renault Duster The Dacia Duster and the new Duster both have identical powertrain options. The base model’s three-cylinder, 1.0 TCe LPG engine, which produces 100 horsepower and works on both gasoline and propane, is mated to a six-speed manual transmission that solely powers the front wheels.
A front-wheel-drive hybrid E-Tech powertrain with a 1.6-liter normally aspirated petrol engine and an electric motor generating 145 horsepower is an additional option. The last configuration is a mild hybrid that combines a 130 horsepower 1.2 TCe turbocharged petrol engine with a 48-volt starter-generator. This option is available with all-wheel drive and a 6-speed manual transmission. Interestingly, there are no diesel engine options available for the new Duster.
Turkish Versions of the Renault Duster There are two trim levels of the Duster offered in Turkey: Evolution and Techno. The base model, the Evolution trim, comes with 17-inch wheels, drum brakes at the back, and LED headlights. Its inside features a 7-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Airbags on both the front and back sides, curtain airbags, cruise control, automated braking, roadside identification, and lane departure warning are among the safety features.
Additional equipment including fog lights, all-wheel disc brakes, and an automated headlight switching system are included with the Techno trim. Wireless charging and automated climate control are also included as standard features. Premium amenities like 18-inch alloy wheels, a blind spot monitoring system, and a 360-degree surround-view camera are optional upgrades for the Techno model. Heated seats, a heated steering wheel, hooks, device holders, and internal LED lighting can all be added to the cabin.
Cost and Launch in India
The base model of the new Renault Duster with the 1.0 TCe LPG engine is priced in Turkey at 1,249,000 Turkish Liras, or roughly Rs 32 lakh. The mild hybrid all-wheel-drive variant is priced from 1,580,000 liras (about Rs 40 lakh), while the E-Tech hybrid range starts at 1,530,000 liras (about Rs 39 lakh).
In India, the redesigned Renault Duster is anticipated to go on sale in 2025. The powertrain options on the India-spec vehicle are anticipated to be different from those of the international version, with a 1.5-liter normally aspirated petrol engine, a 1.3-liter turbo petrol engine, and a 1.0-liter turbo petrol engine being the most likely differences. In India, the next Duster model will also come equipped with all-wheel drive.
