Microsoft releases OpenAI-powered features in Teams Premium
Microsoft is incorporating OpenAI’s technology into more of its products and services following the announcement that the company will invest a multibillion dollar sum in the technology. The widespread availability of Teams Premium has been announced by Microsoft. According to Microsoft, the service has large language models powered by OpenAI’s GPT-3.5 and other technology designed to make meetings “more intelligent, personalized, and protected.”
Chapters in PowerPoint Live that are generated by AI are included in Teams Premium, as are “personalized timeline markers for when you leave and join a meeting.” At the moment, captions with live translations are also available. With the help of GPT-3.5, Teams Premium will soon be able to automatically generate meeting notes. Task and action item suggestions generated by AI will also be available to users. Over time, Microsoft will probably add more AI features to Teams Premium.
The company previously introduced the Azure OpenAI Service for developers, as well as an OpenAI-powered graphic design app and a tool to assist novice app developers. According to rumor, Microsoft is incorporating OpenAI’s ChatGPT, an astonishingly popular chatbot, into Bing. Google is also said to be developing an AI chatbot for Search.
