MG Windsor EV Introduced In India At Rs. 13.49 Lakh
The entire pricing list for the newly released MG Windsor in the Indian market was released by MG Motor India. Without the battery rental, which consumers would pay Rs. 3.5 per kilometer under the BaaS program, the Windsor EV is priced at Rs. 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom). After deducting destination and handling charges, MG set the base Excite variant pricing of the Windsor EV at Rs. 13,49,800 (ex-showroom).
Moving up the price range, the range-topping Essence costs an additional Rs. 1 lakh, while the MG Windsor EV Exclusive model is priced at Rs. 14,49,800. Buyers also receive a number of other benefits, including a lifetime warranty for the battery for the initial owner, a guaranteed 60% repurchase after three years, and free public charging for a year when using the eHUB by MG app. There are four different color schemes available for the Windsor EV.
They are Starburst Black, Pearl White, Clay Beige and Turquoise Green. Commenting on the occasion of the price announcement, Satinder Singh Bajwa, Chief Commercial Officer, JSW MG Motor India, said, “The MG Windsor will enable customers to upgrade to an EV lifestyle through its attractive packaging and pricing. We are confident that this will incentivize more potential customers to adopt electric vehicles, powering the transition to a greener future.”
With a full charge, the MG Windsor EV is said to have a driving range of 331 kilometers. The larger battery pack was not available in India, in contrast to the global Cloud EV. The British brand, which is owned by SAIC in China, emphasizes the large interior and high ground clearance of the Windsor EV. The car has a 15.6-inch touchscreen that supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay wirelessly.
Its exterior style is essentially the same as the Wuling Cloud EV, with a few subtle changes. It sits between the Comet EV and ZS EV in MG’s local electric car portfolio thanks to its 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels with an aero pattern and 215/55 R18 tires. The MG Windsor EV boasts a wide panoramic glass roof, a flat-bottom steering wheel with mounted controls, an 8.8-inch all-digital instrument dashboard, and back seats that can recline 135 degrees.
In addition, it has ventilated seats, ambient lighting, automated climate control, and four drive modes: Eco+, Eco, Normal, and Sport.
