Meta AI is Now Available on Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp in the UK and 5 Other Countries

The artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot developed by Meta, called Meta AI, will now be available in six other nations, the business revealed on Wednesday. Added to the list of nations that can now access the AI chatbot is the United Kingdom. The big social media company also said that the AI platform will shortly be extended to 15 more nations, bringing the total number of supported nations to 43. The business not only integrated voice-based AI into its social media platforms, but also gave the Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses in the UK and Australia voice-based AI capabilities.

Meta AI Extended to Additional Nations

The social media behemoth announced that Meta AI had been extended to six new nations: Brazil, Bolivia, Guatemala, Paraguay, the Philippines, and the United Kingdom. This is an update to its July post, in which it was first announced that Meta AI had been extended to new territories, including India. Furthermore, support for Tagalog, the language used in the Philippines, was included. Users in these nations only need to upgrade Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp in order to use the AI helper; after doing so, they should see the new Meta AI icon.

The business also stated that 15 other countries—Algeria, Egypt, Indonesia, Iraq, Jordan, Libya, Malaysia, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Thailand, Tunisia, United Arab Emirates, Vietnam, and Yemen—will soon see the chatbot’s expansion. Before the current year ends, Meta AI is anticipated to be used in these areas. Additionally, Arabic, Indonesian, Thai, and Vietnamese language capabilities will be added to the AI through updates.

With the present launch, the Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses in the UK and Australia are also acquiring Meta AI capabilities. The business has limited the AI assistant to voice-only functions, though. This implies that consumers in those nations will not be able to utilize the newly revealed machine vision-based functionalities.
