Mercedes-Benz E-Class Will Introduce A Less Expensive RWD Base Model In 2025

Mercedes-Benz has announced that starting with the 2025 model year, its new E-class sedan will come with a rear-wheel drive option for customers in the sunbelt who do not require all-wheel drive. Later this year, the 2025 E-class portfolio will include the E350 RWD variant.

The base E350 will cost less than the all-wheel-drive E350 4Matic, which was the base model for the first model year of this W214-generation, even if Mercedes hasn’t yet confirmed the exact pricing. Mercedes stated that through 2025, the six-cylinder E450 will only be offered with 4Matic all-wheel drive.
