Few details regarding the plot of Five Nights at Freddy’s 2, a follow-up to Blumhouse’s 2023 horror film inspired on the well-known video game series, have been made public.

Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 will be released in theaters on December 5.

Who is featured in the teaser trailer for Five Nights at Freddy’s 2?

The trailer introduces the primary cast of the sequel, which includes Matthew Lillard, a veteran of Scream, reprising his malevolent role as William Afton. The character was first presented in the 2023 film as a career advisor before it was discovered that she was actually a serial killer. Recurring cast members Elizabeth Lail (You) as Vanessa, Piper Rubio (For All Mankind) as Abby, and Josh Hutcherson (The Hunger Games movies) as Mike Schmidt also join him.

Once again Emma Tammi, who co-wrote the screenplay with Cawthon and Seth Cuddeback is directing Five Nights at Freddy’s 2. Cawthon and Jason Blum are producing the follow-up, and Christopher H. Warner is an executive producer. For a projected budget of about $20 million, the first installment made over $280 million worldwide, despite the harsh criticism it received from reviewers.
