Maruti Suzuki Dzire And Honda Amaze Are The 2 Upcoming Sedans For 2024

Because SUVs and crossovers offer higher seating, better vision, and more storage capacity than sedans, they have been less common in recent years. There are still several automakers releasing new sedans in spite of this tendency. With their innovative styling, cutting-edge technology, and thrilling performance, these new entry-level sedans may force compact SUVs to compete.

1. The Maruti Dzire

The recent Suzuki unveiling of the new Swift has prompted a major overhaul for one of India’s best-selling sedans, the Maruti Dzire. Dzire’s dependability, fuel efficiency, repairability, and general ride quality make it one of the best options for fleets. It is anticipated that the 2024 Dzire would borrow features from the new Swift, like a grille with a honeycomb pattern and blacked-out LED headlamps.

The interior of the new Dzire is probably going to have new HVAC controls, a dual-tone dashboard, and a floating infotainment system. The existing circular AC vents may be replaced with horizontal ones. A 9.0-inch touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, ventilated seats, ADAS, a 360-degree camera, and an automatic parking brake with auto hold are expected to be important features. It is anticipated that the new Dzire would have a 1.2-liter, 3-cylinder normally aspirated engine standard, with the possibility of a CNG option. The second half of 2024 is when it is scheduled to debut.

2. Honda Amaze

Later this year, Honda plans to release a big facelift for the Amaze, their smallest sedan. The second-generation vehicle, which has been on sale since 2018, will be replaced by the third-generation model, which is anticipated to be released by Diwali 2024.

Though it will have a lower wheelbase and a length of less than four meters overall, the new Amaze will be constructed on the same platform as the City and Elevate. Honda’s India lineup will be more streamlined and more cost-effective thanks to this design decision.

The third-generation Amaze will have a modernized look that matches larger Honda sedans offered elsewhere. It is anticipated to have a big touchscreen and a contemporary cabin layout.

Under the hood, the Amaze will retain the same 1.2-liter, four-cylinder gasoline engine as the current model, producing 90 horsepower and 110 Nm of torque. A 5-speed manual or CVT automatic transmission will be offered for this engine. No diesel engines will be available.
