Lenovo Unveils Inexpensive Chromebook Duet and Duet EDU G2 Laptops in the United States

The new Chromebook Duet and Chromebook Duet EDU G2 notebooks from Lenovo are part of the company’s Chromebook portfolio expansion. The company has launched two reasonably priced convertible Chromebook models in the US after releasing the Legion G7 gaming smartphone and tablets in China not too long ago.

What distinguishes the Lenovo Chromebook Duet Series?

Although the specifications and features of the two laptops are fairly comparable, there are a few minor variations. The 10.95-inch WUXGA Chromebook Duet series from Lenovo boasts a 16:10 aspect ratio, 400 nits of peak brightness, TUV Low Blue light certification, and Corning Gorilla 3 protection. Both devices are powered by the MediaTek Kompanio 838 SoC, which has 128GB of eMMC storage and up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM.

As the name implies, these laptops come pre-installed with ChromeOS and are designed to provide up to 12 hours of battery life. These notebooks are incredibly light and thin, weighing only 510 grams and having a tablet form factor of just 7.59 mm. However, it is likely that you will utilize the Folio keyboard and Stand Cover with this laptop.

The Lenovo Chromebook Duet and Duet EDU G2 variants have an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 5-megapixel webcam for optics. A twin 1W SmartAMP speaker arrangement tuned by Waves Audio, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, two USB Type C 3.2 Gen 1 ports, and a single audio/microphone combination jack are some of the other noteworthy features.

The cost and accessibility

A three-month complimentary membership to Gemini Advanced is included with the newly released Chromebook Duet and Chromebook Duet EDU G2, both of which have received ENERGY STAR certification. For 319 US dollars and 339.99 US dollars, respectively, it is currently on sale in North America. Only the Luna Grey color choice is available for both models at this time.
