Kia Syros Will Make Its Debut Worldwide This Week

The debut of the Syros will mark the arrival of Kia India’s fourth SUV in its lineup. The launch date of the Kia Syros is set for December 19. It’s interesting to note that Syros’s shape and position will make it a very distinctive offering for the Indian market. Kia India really refers to the Syros as “a new species of SUV.

For a while now, Kia has been teasing some of the characteristics of the next Syros. It affirms that the Kia Syros will have a panoramic sunroof, a wireless charger, a 360-degree parking camera, twin USB C connections, and a push button for engine start and stop. Ambient lighting and terrain options will also be available.

The Kia Syros also has heated seats, ISOFIX child seat attachments, and a dual-screen configuration with a touchscreen infotainment system and a digital driver’s display. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto will be supported wirelessly on the infotainment system. Additionally, Syros may receive connected car technology and an Advanced Driver Assistance System.

Design of the Kia Syros

In addition to its distinctive positioning, the Kia Syros’s design will differ significantly from those of other SUVs in the market. As part of its Kia 2.0 goal, the Syros would be the first SUV manufactured in India to incorporate Kia’s Design 2.0 philosophy.

SUV will have a distinctive form that sets it apart from other SUVs on the market. The EV9, which debuted earlier this year, served as a major inspiration for the front end of the Kia Syros.

Syros will have LED DRLs that are vertical. Furthermore, the Syros’ butch visage and muscular front bumper, which set it apart from other Kia models available in India, are hinted at in recent teasers. Wraparound L-shaped LED taillights that are high positioned and attached to the roofline will be installed on the SUV’s rear end.

Specifications of the Kia Syros

The same engines that power the Kia Sonet will also power the Kia Syros. The 1.5-liter diesel engine is calibrated to produce 116 horsepower and 250 Nm of peak torque, while the 1.0-liter three-cylinder gasoline engine can create 118 horsepower and 172 Nm of peak torque.

These engines will come with gearbox options such as a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, a 6-speed torque converter automatic, or a 6-speed manual transmission. Additionally, a 6-speed iMT gearbox is probably going to be available.
