Kia Syros is Scheduled to Launch Globally

Kia India is prepared to add the Syros, another SUV, to its lineup of products. Tomorrow (December 19), the Kia Syros will make its world premiere. It’s interesting to note that the Syros will be very different in both design and placement. In India, the Syros will be the company’s fifth SUV. The Syros is described by Kia India as “a new species of SUV.”

Design of the Kia Syros

As part of its Kia 2.0 goal, the Syros would be the first SUV manufactured in India to incorporate Kia’s Design 2.0 philosophy. The Kia Syros will have a distinctive form that sets it apart from other SUVs on the market right now. The EV9, which debuted earlier this year, served as a major inspiration for the front end of the Kia Syros.

Like the Carens, the Syros will sport an RV-inspired design while maintaining SUV traits. The Syros will stand out from other Kia vehicles in India thanks to its butch visage, thick front bumper, and vertical LED DRLs. The SUV will have wrap-around L-shaped LED taillights on the back that are attached to the roofline and positioned high.

Kia Syros: Specifications

The engines found in the Kia Sonet will also be used in the Kia Syros. These include a 1.5-liter diesel engine tuned for 116 horsepower and 250 Nm of peak torque, and a 1.0-liter three-cylinder gasoline engine with a maximum power output of 118 horsepower and a peak torque production of 172 Nm.

These engines will come with gearbox options such as a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, a 6-speed torque converter automatic, or a 6-speed manual transmission. Additionally, a 6-speed iMT gearbox is probably going to be available.

Features of the Kia Syros

The Syros will have two screens: a computerized driver’s display and a touchscreen infotainment system. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto will be supported wirelessly on the infotainment system. The SUV will also have ISOFIX child seat mounts and ventilated seats. Additionally, Syros may receive connected car technology and an Advanced Driver Assistance System.

The Syros will also have a wireless charger, twin USB C outlets, a panoramic sunroof, a 360-degree parking camera, and a push button for engine start/stop. Ambient lighting and terrain options will also be available.
