June 2024: India’s New Car and Bike Launches
1. Tata Altroz Racer:
The performance-focused Tata Altroz Racer will go on sale in India on June 13. It will be powered by a 1.2L three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that produces 170 Nm of torque and 120 PS, just like the Nexon. To set itself apart from the standard model, the Altroz Racer boasts a more luxurious feature list along with a contrasting interior and aesthetic improvements.
The list of features will include a seven-inch TFT instrument cluster, six airbags, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, ventilated driver and front passenger seats, a 360-degree camera system, leatherette seats, projector LED headlights and LED daytime running lights, rear air conditioning vents, etc.
2. Audi Q8 Facelift:
In the later part of 2023, Audi updated the Q8, their premium SUV. The revised Q8, which is anticipated to hit the roads this month, has an eye-catching grille section, revised bumpers, freshly styled alloy wheels, and cabin improvements. It is expected to keep the 3.0L turbocharged petrol engine under the hood, which produces 500 Nm of torque and 340 PS, combined with a 48V mild hybrid setup.
3. Fighter or Bajaj Bruzer:
June 18 will mark the release of the first CNG-powered motorcycle in the industry. Bajaj recently filed for trademarks for a number of titles; the Bruzer and Fighter names are anticipated for the upcoming cycle. With a potential price of approximately Rs. 85,000 (ex-showroom), this commuter bike is intended to sell in large quantities. It will have a CNG tank under the normal fuel tank so that it can run on a dual fuel system.
When compared to typical commuter motorcycles, the Bajaj Bruzer is expected to drastically reduce running costs—possibly by 50%—making it a desirable option for people who value fuel economy. Its dual fuel capability (CNG and gasoline) will improve its flexibility to different types of terrain. A five-speed transmission will be mated to a 125 cc air-cooled engine for the standard powerplant.
