Cold Storage is an anticipated sci-fi comedy, based on David Koepp’s 2019 novel of the same name. Samuel Goldwyn Films has successfully acquired the North American distribution rights to the film. A countrywide theater release is scheduled for later this year by Samuel Goldwyn Films.

Synopsis:

The movie centers on Teacake and Naomi, two workers at a self-storage facility constructed on top of a former military base, whose night shift turns into a nightmare when a parasitic fungus that the government had trapped emerges from the underground levels. As the temperature rises, the microbe unleashes its body-bursting, brain-controlling chaos on anything that gets in its way. The duo must join forces with a weathered bioterror operative to contain the threat before it triggers humanity’s extinction.

“We’re happy to continue our relationship with Studiocanal and excited to be handling this thrilling movie from David Koepp, Jonny Campbell and Gavin Polone,” Samuel Goldwyn Films president Peter Goldwyn and CEO Ben Feingold said in a statement.
