Indiegogo Revealed The $789 Philips Screeneo UL5 Ultra-Short Throw Smart Projector

A crowdfunding effort on Indiegogo for the Screeneo UL5 Smart projector has been launched by Philips Projection. An ultra-short throw projector that is smart and reasonably priced, the Screeneo UL5 Smart has garnered over $900,000 in pledges on Indiegogo. The Screeneo UL5 Smart is currently available for $789 during its limited-time Indiegogo campaign, which ends in one week.

The Philips Screeneo U5 smart projector, which was introduced in 2022, was replaced by the Philips Screeneo UL5 Smart. With its cutting-edge triple RGB technology, the new model is an intelligent RGB laser projector that can project images up to 100 inches from a just 20 inches away. The smallest and most sophisticated ultra-short throw (UST) projector offered by the company is the Screeneo UL5 Smart. It has advancements over the remarkable range of well-received projectors from Philips. It is marketed as an affordable device that provides a richer viewing experience than conventional TVs.

As expected, the Screeneo UL5 Smart is incredibly small. It has dimensions of around 8 x 3.7 x 3.4 inches and produces a large screen when placed close to a wall. This makes the projector ideal for cramped areas like living rooms. The display features full HD resolution and a maximum brightness of 550 ANSI lumens. Despite not being able to produce 4K output, the Screeneo UL5 Smart is still quite affordable at under $1,000 and has many excellent features. It is without a doubt one of the best UST projectors available right now.

The Philips Screeneo UL5 Smart operates on the Philips LuminOS, and users can expand their options by leveraging well-known streaming services. It’s perfect for watching TV shows, movies, and playing games. The triple-laser light source and the DLP chip in the projector work together to separate the hues red, blue, and green to provide a vivid visual output. It features a 0.23:1 throw ratio.

The size of the projection can be changed by adjusting the distance between the projector and the projected surface. There is no appreciable decrease in output brightness or clarity as a result of these modifications. Additionally, when the projector is adjusted, it automatically keystones and focuses.

The Screeneo UL5 has a respectable number of connectors that let users project content from a variety of input devices, such as laptops, desktop computers, tablets, and game consoles. The projector may be flipped to stand upright or positioned on its back to project onto a table or the ground. Shipment of the Philips Screeneo UL5 Smart projector will begin in September 2024 and it is backed by a two-year warranty. Originally priced at $1,406, the model is currently available for $789.
