Ford appears to be preparing for a big return in India with its impending EcoSport replacement, as seen by the recent filing of the EcoSport successor patent in India. Recent rumors and leaked patents indicate that Ford may launch a new product targeted at developing regions like South America and India. This drawing is based on the design patent and the car that was leaked and seen in India a few years ago. It was supposed to be released in collaboration with Mahindra.
With a strong grille and stacked LED daytime running lights, the new SUV is anticipated to be inspired by previous Ford designs from the Chinese and American markets. With its sculpted lower doors and black wheel arch cladding, the exterior design has a more robust appearance.
Many contemporary amenities, like a large infotainment touchscreen, a digital instrument cluster, a 360-degree camera, and wireless charging, are rumored to be included in the new model. Its popularity is also anticipated to increase with the addition of wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.
The new SUV might be built on Ford’s VX-772 platform, which might support a 1.5-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine or one of several gasoline and diesel powertrain options. There has been conjecture recently that Ford may decide to go with an all-Ford platform and powertrain setup.
Ford is also anticipated to introduce a number of new high-end models, such as the Ford Ranger, all-electric Mustang Mach-E, and the next-generation Endeavour. The US automaker also intends to launch a reasonably priced all-electric vehicle in emerging nations.
