What external updates are there on the BMW 5 Series?
The dimensions of the BMW 5 Series LWB have increased from all angles. It measures 212 mm longer, 32 mm broader, and 41 mm taller. Most notably, there has been a notable 130 mm increase in wheelbase. The sedan is equipped with 18-inch alloy wheels, which, given the car’s total size, seem a little too small. However, it’s likely that a larger set of wheels will be available as an add-on at launch.
A number of small but major changes have been made to the current 5 Series’ face. Most notably, the BMW kidney grille design has become more prominent and features an illuminated outline. The 500-meter throw of the Adaptive LED headlights has been slightly adjusted in design. It has BMW Selective Beam technology, which eliminates glare, together with Matrix High Beam. In order to give the face a more athletic appearance from both the front and the side, the extended bonnet also has an overhang.
A ‘5’ lettering on the C-pillar, a high shoulder line, two strong character lines on the doors, and flat L-shaped tail lights are some of the other design highlights of the most recent BMW 5 Series.
What are the primary features of the BMW 5 Series cabin?
The finest place to experience a BMW is behind the wheel. Does it not? Because of the extreme luxury and comfort available, owners of the 5 Series LWB have good reason to sprawl out in the backseats. There is a lot more room for passengers in the back thanks to the extended wheelbase, and the plush seats here add to the luxurious atmosphere. The rear seats include side bolstering and head cushions for further comfort, although they’re still only ideal for two people. A wireless phone charging station has been included into the pull-down armrest.
The focal point of the focus is the 12.3-inch driver display unit and the 14.9-inch primary infotainment screen that make up the BMW curved display unit. The interior features four zones of climate control for customized cooling as well as ambient lighting throughout. The sedan has four zones of climate control with an air-filtration system, and nearly invisible seam vents have been used in place of traditional air conditioning vents.
Other notable features include a panoramic sunroof, a Bower & Wilkins surround sound system, a revised steering wheel design, and, for the first time on a BMW vehicle, an interior that is completely vegan, including the dashboard, door panels, seats, and steering wheel.
Following the 3 Series and 7 Series, the new 5 Series would be the third LWB sedan produced by the German automaker in India at the time of launch.
