Huge Interior And Exterior Updates For The Isuzu MU-X Include The New RS Trim

Isuzu has introduced the redesigned MU-X in Thailand, keeping its engine range but adding a number of equipment and cosmetic upgrades. This seven-seater now comes with an upgraded Ultimate grade and a new RS version with sportier exterior cues. The mid-cycle update improves the car’s external attractiveness with a newly redesigned front end.

The slimmer LED headlights and more noticeable bumper intakes go well with the bigger front grille. The stylish full-width LED tail lamps and an altered rear bumper are located on the back. The chrome grille, fresh intake trim, front skid plate, and extended rear bumper of the new RS trim make a striking visual impact.

It has special 20-inch black alloy wheels, matching paint jobs, green accents on the center caps and RS badges, etc. Inside, the revised Isuzu MU-X has a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless connectivity for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as a 7-inch instrument cluster display.

This time, there has been an upgrade to the instrument panel as well as updates to the door panels and seats. While the RS model has unique black finishes and contrasting red ambient lighting, the Ultimate trim dazzles with truffle brown leather upholstery and new inlays. Performance-wise, the 3.0L diesel unit that delivers 190 PS and the 1.9L diesel engine that produces 150 PS have remained the same.

All models in the Japanese manufacturer’s inventory come with a six-speed automatic transmission; the top-of-the-line RS model is the only one with four-wheel drive. Reservations for the updated Isuzu MU-X are now being accepted in Thailand, and in the upcoming months, other Asian countries should also see the introduction of the SUV.

The base 4×2 Elegant model of the 2024 Isuzu MU-X costs THB 1,184,000 (about 26.86 lakh), while the top-of-the-line 4×4 RS 3.0 variant costs THB 1,759,000 (approximately 39.91 lakh). In terms of safety, numerous ADAS-based features have been introduced, such as adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, blind spot monitor, etc. Along with the addition of a new camera.
