How Samit Patel Defines Success

What inspired you to become an entrepreneur?

Coming from a low-income family, I wanted to improve where I was in life and find ways to change the world. Being broke was a major obstacle to a lot of my goals; you really can’t change the world if you have nothing. My original goal was to make enough money to live the life I wanted, but now my goal is to inspire others to forge their own paths.

What are some sacrifices you’ve made to get to where you are?

I missed out on a lot after college. My friends all had traditional corporate jobs, so they would meet up on Friday nights and go for drinks. They also went on lots of holidays together that I had to skip. While it was tough to watch my friends have fun without me, the work I put in has gotten me to where I am today.

What’s your definition of success?Whenever someone tells me that my work made them successful, I call that a success
