The most recent member of the X-series has been discreetly listed online by Honor. The X6b uses a combination of eye-catching colors and entry-level specs to target the budget market.
Honor X6b Technical Details
The 6.56-inch display is the focal point of the phone’s design. Its HD+ resolution TFT LCD display, however, might not be the best choice for those looking for a crisper viewing experience. A refresh rate of 90Hz will enable smoother scrolling and animations, partially compensating this.
In addition to the waterdrop notch housing the front camera, Honor has added a feature called “Magic Capsule.” For a more integrated user experience, the later software-based option widens system toggles and chooses programs from across the notch.
The MediaTek Helio G85 processor, which powers the X6b, is a solid chip for regular use but not made for intensive gaming or task-intensive apps. Users get a choice of 128GB or 256GB of storage in addition to 4GB or 6GB of RAM.
With a 50MP primary sensor and an f/1.8 aperture, the back camera system promises respectable images under bright lighting. It comes with a 2MP depth sensor, probably to help with effects in portrait mode. In addition, there is an LED flash and what looks to be a sticker place on the back panel.
On the software front, Android 14 is layered with MagicOS 8.0 on the X6b. A 5,200mAh battery powers the phone and should provide decent endurance on a single charge. When necessary, it offers 35W wired charging for quicker top-ups.
The X6b is available from Honor in a variety of hues, such as Midnight Black, Forest Green, Starry Purple, and Ocean Cyan. Although official pricing and availability information is still pending, the Honor X6b will be a reasonably priced phone in the lineup.
