Hard work does pay – off’ says Ahir community daughter Miraben ahir
You might have come across many people who just run after jobs, and many of them have no idea what they have to do in life.
However, some people are very passionate and active in making their dreams come true. Meet one such person Miraben Ahir a proud dauhter of Ahir Community, who wants to keep traditional folk music and singing alive. She started singing in the chorus, but in the past five years, she gained recognition as a solo folk singer with her hard work & dedication. Mira Ben, an LLB Graduate, says that when her mother played Garba, she sang with her.
While talking about her struggle, Mira Ben said that, Along with the job, I was pursuing my hobby as a folk singer, and many times I used to go straight to work in the morning from my singing programs. Then one fine day, I decided to quit my job and continue with my singing. My family members proved to be of immense support for me during this journey. Hard work does pay-off & today it’s in front of you.
Miraben Ahir has done 60 programs without charging any fees. Moreover, she performed on stage for 72 consecutive hours in a program organized by Ahir Samaj at Bhalka Tirth, being a proud daughter of – Ahir Community.
