The Gruber Motors store, famous for working on Tesla vehicles, caught fire again. This is the second time in 4 years.
It is believed that some other rare Tesla roadsters have been lost.
Gruber Motors is a Phoenix-based shop focused on serving Tesla owners. Gruber Motors made a name for itself as one of the rare companies capable of solving the “breaking” problems of some Tesla Roadsters vehicles.
There was a problem in the initial electric vehicle where the battery would be useless. Tesla will not be able to fix it and will instead recommend replacing the entire battery, which was unbelievably expensive.
Pete Gruber, CEO of Gruber Motors, developed a system to identify a dead cell or module and was able to replace it to make the roadster work again.
However, the company suffered a major setback in 2017 when its shop in Phoenix caught fire, destroying at least 5 Tesla Roadsters and even one Tezero vehicle.
No one was injured in the blaze, but the electric vehicle lost some of its history.
Now Gruber has another fire at his new shop in Phoenix yesterday. The local fire department reported the incident:
No one seems to be hurt, but the extent of the damage is still unknown.
When the shop caught fire, the Tesla owner, who had his car, replied that the entire interior of the shop (via TMC) had gone away:
The fire could destroy 30 Tesla roadsters. The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
