Google Will Disallow Installing “Risky” Apps on Android Devices; Details Here
Soon, Android users will be able to access a new fraud prevention function from Google. This function, which is part of Google Play Protect, aims to tackle the issue of scams, which is becoming more and more prevalent these days. The element that protects against fraud is still being developed, though. Notably, Singapore will be the first nation to test this feature; it will be tested there in the next weeks.
Users of Android devices in Singapore will not be able to download apps deemed dangerous. In order to build the feature, the company works with the Singapore Cyber Security Agency, supporting the government’s efforts to combat scammers.
