Google Pixel 9a has finally arrived and launched in India. Additionally, Google has introduced the Pixel 9a, a smartphone that targets the mid-tier market. Since the device generally launches before to or during the Google I/O event in May, this entry is a little early.

Pixel 9a has finally arrived. It is priced at Rs 49,999 and features an in-house Tensor G4 chipset. Google has improved its hardware, performance, and design with this latest entry. This one’s appearance differs slightly from the tech giant’s typical offerings. Perhaps this is the phone for you because it has blockbuster features at a lower price point.

The Pixel 9a, Google’s low-cost flagship phone, has been released with some new features and improved specs. The tech giant removed its iconic camera bar from the smartphone this year, making a minor design adjustment. With an IP68 classification for protection to dust and water, the smartphone has grown more robust.

The Pixel 9a is 35% brighter than the Pixel 8a thanks to its larger 6.3-inch Actua pOLED display, which has a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a maximum brightness of 2700 nits. The Titan M2 security chip and Google Tensor G4 chipset power the smartphone.

For a smooth AI experience, the Pixel 9a comes with a number of Google AI features, including Gemini AI, Circle to Search, Magic Eraser, Audio Magic Erase, and more.

The smartphone has a 5,100mAh battery and supports both 7.5W wireless and 33W wired charging.

The Pixel 9a’s battery capacity is yet another significant improvement. In comparison to the Pixel 8a and even the full Pixel 9 series, its 5,100mAh battery is larger. Additionally, Google replaced the 64MP camera with a 48MP one.

With Google offering seven years of OS upgrades and Pixel Drops, the Pixel 9a will come pre-installed with Android 15. This means that consumers will have long-term support.

Google Pixel 9a: Price and Availability

There will be four color options for the Pixel 9a: peony, iris, porcelain, and obsidian. At ₹49,999, the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model is priced, and at ₹56,999, the 8GB RAM + 256GB model. When buying through specific banking partners, customers can also take advantage of a 24-month free EMI and a ₹3,000 rebate incentive. Beginning in April 2025, the device will be sold on Flipkart.
