A new feature in Google Messages will enable users to start WhatsApp video calls straight from the app. Through smooth video calls without app switching, this integration seeks to streamline communication.
A button specifically for WhatsApp Video Calls may soon be added to Google Messages. Consider this to be more of a bridge than complete interoperability between the two apps. A WhatsApp video call will start when you tap this icon. Google Meet will be used for the call if the recipient does not have WhatsApp.
The button offers a shortcut to the Meta-owned messaging behemoth’s service by merely starting a video chat on WhatsApp’s infrastructure utilizing the user interface (UI) integrated into Google Messages.
For example, if both parties have Google Meet installed, attempting to start a video conference on a chat screen just starts a Google Meet call. According to what Google is constructing, users can choose to initiate a WhatsApp call by hitting the video call icon, provided that both users have the program installed. According to reports, WhatsApp’s dedicated video call feature won’t appear if the call’s recipient isn’t using the app.
Google is yet to announce when this feature will be officially available. With this update, Android users will have a more flexible and intuitive choice in Google Messages.
