In China, Xiaomi debuted the Mix Fold 4 and Mix Flip last month. With the latter, the brand unveiled its first flip phone featuring a folding screen. The Mix Fold 4 might only be available in China, whereas the Mix Flip will be available elsewhere, according to the reports.
Xiaomi Mix Flip global version: RAM, storage, and color variations
The global edition of the Xiaomi Mix Flip FAQ states that 12 GB and 16 GB LPDDR5x RAM versions will be offered. Additionally, UFS 4.0 storage capacities including 256 GB, 512 GB, and 1 TB will be available. These storage options will provide 8 GB, 16 GB, and 32 GB of virtual RAM for UFS storage expansion.
Panda-X glass will be featured on the global variant of the Mix Flip in black, white, and purple editions. Additionally, a Xiaomi Nylon Fiber special edition featuring an exterior layer of nylon and a substrate made of fiberglass will be available.
September or this month will mark the official launch of the smartphone.
Specifications of the Xiaomi Mix Flip
The 6.86-inch foldable LTPO AMOLED screen on the Xiaomi Mix Flip has a resolution of 1224 x 2912 pixels. It features an outside resolution of 1392 x 1208 pixels on a 4-inch AMOLED screen. Up to 120Hz refresh rate is supported by both screens. The gadget has a stainless steel hinge and an aluminum frame.
Its 32-megapixel OmniVision camera is located on the front. A 50-megapixel OmniVision OVX8000 Leica-engineered primary camera and a 50-megapixel OmniVision OV60A telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom comprise the rear-facing dual-camera configuration. The phone is powered by HyperOS UI and Android 14.
The Xiaomi Mix Flip is powered by a 4,780mAh battery that can be charged quickly with 67W and a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 CPU. It sports a side-facing fingerprint scanner for added security. Regarding the cost of the device’s global edition, nothing is known. It is offered in China for 5,999 Yuan (~$836) as a starting price.
