EA Sports released the Madden 23 player ratings for the wide receiver and tight end positions on Monday. Madden Ratings Week is a highly anticipated tradition where fans and players alike react to the scores received by players.
Coming off a down year, the ratings team was unkind to the New York Giants. According to Maddon, the top wide receiver on the roster is Sterling Shepard. Coming in as the eighth-ranked pass catcher in the NFC East overall at 82 and has the highest catch rating on the Giants at 89.
Kenny Golladay comes in at 81 overall at wide receiver two. It’s surprising that the big-money receiver is the second-best on the team, but it’s hard to argue with no touchdowns last season.
Young receivers Kadarius Toney and Wan’Dale Robinson come in at 79 and 72, respectively. Fan favorite Daniel Bellinger is starting the year with a 66 overall with plenty of room for improvement throughout the year. On the bubble, Darius Slayton falls to 77 overall.
The Giants don’t have a top-flight receiver in the division, but they have spots 8-10 covered. The Commanders have a top receiver with Terry McLaurin at 91 overall. The Eagles and Giants each have three players in the top 10, and the Eagles surprisingly have the best group in the division. Below are some of the top-rated receivers around the NFL.
At the end of the day, there is plenty of room for growth throughout the season. With the Giants starting at the bottom end of the rankings, where they finish will matter most.
