It centers on a woman who starts to doubt her sanity after being visited by a ghostly presence of some kind. On June 21, 2024, it opens in a few select US cinemas. That same day, it will also be accessible via digital platforms and video on demand.

Blackwater Lane is a supernatural thriller starring Minka Kelly, Dermot Mulroney, and Maggie Grace. It is based on the phenomenally popular New York Times bestselling book by B.A. Paris. Cass begins to doubt her sanity after seeing a tragedy on a perilous country road and being visited by a ghostly figure. Cass is pushed toward the edge as these unearthly encounters get more intense, and eventually she starts to piece together a horrifying scheme that is being planned against her.
Jeff Celentano, director of Blackwater Lane, is the man behind the films Gunshy (1998), Primary Suspect (2000), Moscow Heat (2004), Breaking Point (2009), and The Hill (2023), among others.
Elizabeth Fowler wrote the screenplay. Along with Warren Ostergard, Lucinda Rhodes Thakrar, and Shaun Sanghani, Fowler produces the film as well. Together with Mulroney, Kelly, and Grace, Alan Calton (Austinland, Murder on the Orient Express) and Natalie Simpson (Outlander, Les Misérables) star.
