Citroen has unveiled the new C3 Aircross, which will be offered with both ICE and EV engine options for sale in Europe. The new Citroen C3 Aircross for Europe is based on the C3 hatchback, just as the models available in India, but it has a very different design language than the vehicle available in this country.
The redesigned bumper, LED DRL design, and new brand logo give the Euro-spec Citroen C3 a more contemporary appearance. The SUV’s headlamps are slimmer and it looks more manly. Although both models have similar lines and a comparable shape, the alloy wheels of the Indian version are different. Although the bumper has been adjusted compared to the India-spec model, the rear still has the same appearance as the taillights.
The Vauxhall Frontera and the new Citroen C3 Aircross are both built on the same Stellantis Smart Car Platform. Although the inside is unknown, it is anticipated to come equipped with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless charging, a head-up display, a reverse camera with parking sensors, and other features as standard. There will be a seven-seater version of the Euro-spec C3 Aircross available.
In a few weeks, more information regarding the engine and features of the Citroen C3 Aircross European specification should become accessible. The only available powertrain option for the small SUV in India is a 1.2-liter turbocharged petrol engine with 108 horsepower and 215 Nm, mated to a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission. An electric variant known as the “eC3 Aircross” will be available for the European version.
Citroen India, however, is getting ready to launch the coupe SUV based on the Basalt Vision later this year. The new model will have a more elegant design language and share its foundations with the India-spec C3 Aircross. Furthermore, a revised C3 hatchback is anticipated to be unveiled by the business later this year.
