Entry-Level Trim With Steel Wheels And A Small Battery Is Added To The Audi Q4 E-Tron
Sales of the Audi Q4 e-tron, the brand’s best-selling electric vehicle, should increase with the introduction of a new entry-level model. The Q4 35 e-tron will be available in crossover and sportback configurations.
The new entry-level model, which costs €7,350 less than the Q4 45 e-tron, swaps the 82 kWh battery pack for a 55 kWh one. As a result, the crossover’s range is now only 221 miles (355 km) and the sportback’s range is now 227 miles (365 km).
The vehicle includes a rear-mounted motor that generates 168 horsepower (125 kW / 170 PS) and 229 lb-ft (310 Nm) of torque, so it’s not the only trade-off. As a result, the electric crossover can accelerate to a high speed of 99 mph (160 km/h) from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in a comfortable nine seconds.
The Q4 45 e-tron offers 402 lb-ft (545 Nm) of torque and 282 horsepower (210 kW / 286 PS), to put those figures into context. This allows it to reach its maximum speed of 112 mph (180 km/h) after reaching 62 mph (100 km/h) in 6.7 seconds.

In addition to being less powerful and slower, the Q4 35 e-tron can only handle 145 kW of DC fast charging as opposed to 175 kW. Nevertheless, in as little as 25 minutes, its battery can charge from 10 to 80 percent.
Buyers may expect a rather basic crossover with stylish covers for its 19-inch steel wheels and plastic body cladding. The variant also has heated fabric front seats, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, leather-wrapped steering wheel, and LED headlights.
In Germany, orders for the Q4 35 e-tron are presently being accepted. Starting prices for the crossover and sportback are respectively €45,600 and €47,600.
