Inspired by the Spanish Mediterranean island of Ibiza, Land Rover unveiled the Defender Eivissa Limited Editions. With its striking hues, unique insignia, and limited manufacture of just six units, the SUV is available in Sunrise and Noontide versions.
The Catalan term for the popular tourist destination Ibiza, which is located close to Spain’s eastern coast, is Eivissa. Entitled to a “vibrant nightlife and deep connection to nature,” the island is presently home to the Destination Defender Ibiza event, which is the exclusive location for fans of Land Rover to purchase the Eivissa specials.
The Defender 90 Noontide Limited Edition and Defender 110 Eivissa Sunrise depict the colors of the island at various times of the day. The daybreak alludes to the “magical yellow of sunrise,” which is seen after a busy night, by combining a yellow shade with gloss black accents. Its doppelgänger, the Noontide, is painted a pale blue color with white highlights. In contrast to the white cottages on the island, this combination is reminiscent of the Mediterranean sea and the blue sky.
September 13 marks the beginning of the Destination Defender Ibiza, which runs through September 29. For fans of Land Rovers, there are plenty of activities planned for the event, such as hiking, coasteering, yoga, and wellness, pool parties, opening and closing parties, and off-road and on-road trips to nearby destinations.
Land Rover will be exhibiting two examples of the Eivissa limited edition at the event, alongside the V8-powered Defender OCTA.
