Warner Bros. has declared an October 22 release date for Clint Eastwood’s latest film, “Cry Macho.”
The Western story depends on the 1975 novel by N. Richard Nash and stars Eastwood alongside Eduardo Minett and Dwight Yoakam.
The screenplay is composed by Nash and Nick Schenk.
Set in 1978, Eastwood plays a one-time rodeo star and washed up horse breeder who accepts a job from an ex-boss to bring the man’s young child home and away from his alcoholic mother. Crossing rural Mexico on their back method to Texas, the far-fetched pair faces a unexpectedly challenging journey, during which the world-weary horseman may track down his own sense of redemption through teaching the boy being a decent man.
