China’s Xiaomi 13 Series Receives a New HyperOS beta Update

With version numbers OS1.0.13.0.UMCCNXM, OS1.0.11.0.UMBCNXM, and OS1.0.15.0.UMACNXM, respectively, Xiaomi has started distributing the official HyperOS beta update for the Xiaomi 13, 13 Pro, and 13 Ultra.

This version improves the user experience overall by bringing multiple improvements and fixes across various system components. It is a part of the August beta program.

What is the latest update about?

A more responsive interface and streamlined startup animation for quicker program launches are just two of the major system performance enhancements brought forth by this release. It incorporates the August 2024 security patch for improved system security and fixes game problems for a more stable experience.

The update also resolves bugs related to the Free Window functionality, such as strange video app presentation in small window mode and mini window sizing issues in several games. In particular, the return-to-home animation is more stable on the Home Screen now, and the second space’s desktop layout’s empty space problems are fixed.

It also fixes a checkmark error in the Clock app for alarm settings in dark mode, adds a new lock screen setting to disable editing with a long press, and speeds up device detection to maximize cross-device communication.

With six revamped UI designs, new map and audio cards, and an improved XiaoAi Assistant speech style, the latest beta update improves the CarWith feature. Combining full-screen maps and a floating navigation capsule with customization options for car wallpaper, background effects, card sorting, and widgets, it enhances navigation. Additionally, CarWith’s stability and connection experience have been enhanced by the upgrade.

This version also addresses issues with text and message display in many languages within the Status Bar and message Bar, as well as the disappearance of the option to subscribe to natural catastrophe alerts in the Security Manager.

This update can now be downloaded by official beta testers. After beta testing goes well, the full version will be made available to all users.
